Trumpet Ensemble

Meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm during the academic year and functions as an extension of the Applied Lesson experience. This course provides an opportunity to develop chamber ensemble skills such as intonation, balance, and tone-production through the performance of literature for the trumpet ensemble. Class time is also devoted to learning solo repertoire for the trumpet, studying orchestral excerpts, and discussing various topics that are pertinent to developing a career as a trumpet performer. A variety of guests visit the class to perform recitals and share their experience and knowledge.  In addition to our on campus performances, the ensemble performs at the annual Ohio Trumpet Guild Conference and has been invited to perform at the International Trumpet Guild Conference and the International Trumpet Camp in Monterrey, Mexico.
